3rd Graders Receive Dictionaries

Willmar Elk’s Lodge # 952 honored the RCW 3rd graders with dictionaries. Tom Kramin introduced himself to students as a member of the benevolent Elk’s Lodge #952. He queried the student on the meaning of the work “benevolent”. He then presented student in Mrs. Grove’s and Mrs. Hup’s 3rd grade classrooms with their own dictionaries and asked student to investigate the word “benevolent.” Students dutifully investigated and responded with the dictionary definition. Mr. Kramin encouraged students to use their dictionaries when unsure of word meaning and spelling. Through this generous donation, the Elks hope to inspire a greater appreciation of the written word.
